THE CHALLENGE

This collaboration between TOMS footwear, La Mer Collections watches, and the Kixjo Artisans based in Guatemala, was created in order to support women artisans and a clean cookstove program developed by Ahuyu. Ahuyu is a non-profit organization that focuses on micro-financing the reduction of indoor air pollution: A model program to increase access to clean cookstoves in Guatemala.

The design focus this collection was for the brightly colored handmade, beaded bracelets to coordinate with the simple and chic La Mer Watch straps and merchandise with the TOMS’s aesthetic. These custom watches captured the beauty of handmade Guatemalan Craftsmanship alongside the unique nature of La Mer’s Watches.

Working directly with the Kixjo artisans, TOMS design team and La Mer Collections’ production facility this line was designed, produced and shipped out of TOMS’ California design studio.
