We Bring Your Ideas to Life

WHAT TO DO WITH ALL OF YOUR EXTRA MATERIALS

It is certain that when you look at your dead-stock, overage & sample runs from prior years’

production just sitting in your office’s shelves, you see money ‘stuck’ in the raw materials.

With Temescal’s extensive sustainable design expertise,

we will help you physically transform your unused materials into profitable sustainable product collections

that stay true to your brand’s quality & DNA.

Temescal manages your entire upcycling process:
Concept thru to Launch.
We increase your brand’s bandwidth,
and recoup your investment in otherwise wasted raw materials.

Learn More about our upcycling process below:

Evaluation

We will assess the volume, quality, and location of your deadstock materials to identify the strongest opportunities for reuse.

Our goal is to simplify the process of transforming production waste into profitable, upcycled products that remain true to your brand’s quality, design language, and heritage.

We will also evaluate the secondary waste streams created through the upcycling process, with the goal of maximizing material use and minimizing new waste.

There is no minimum volume required for evaluation.

Selection of Products

Working alongside your design and merchandising teams, we identify the strongest opportunities for upcycling within your collection.

We begin by asking:

  • Which products are already proven best sellers?

  • Where are there gaps or untapped opportunities within the collection?

  • What products or ideas have been difficult to realize through your existing factories or supply chain?

  • Where can existing materials be transformed into something new, relevant, and commercially viable?

Factory Selection

Upcycling requires specialized manufacturing, and not every factory is equipped to work with existing materials, variable quantities, and custom production processes.

Temescal works through two partnership models: we can bring in our trusted U.S. manufacturing partners, or work directly with your existing or owned factories.

For each product selected for sampling, we determine the best manufacturing path based on material, construction, capabilities, volume, and location.

Our role is to connect the right materials, products, and production partners to create an upcycling program that works within your existing business.

Techpack Creation & Product Development

Once your design team has finalized the concept, Temescal translates it into factory-ready technical documentation.

We develop detailed tech packs that define construction, dimensions, materials, hardware, finishes, and assembly, while creating a clear coding and callout system for where each deadstock material is used.

Because deadstock can vary by color, finish, size, and quantity, we organize these variables into clear production instructions the factory can follow.

Our role is to translate your design intent and quality standards into an actionable system for sampling and production.

Samples Produced

With your upcycled samples in hand, your team can see, test, and evaluate how the collection will come to life.

At this stage, Temescal will provide production pricing for review with your merchandising teams, helping determine which products are commercially viable for bulk production.

We will manage communication with the factory, coordinate requested design, material, or construction adjustments, and oversee the transition from approved sample to production-ready product.

Marketing

Throughout development, Temescal will document the transformation of your materials from deadstock to finished product, creating a visual library your marketing teams can use to launch and communicate the collection.

Documentation may include material sorting and selection, sampling, factory-floor production, cutting and assembly, craftsmanship details, before-and-after transformations, and finished products.

These assets can support:

  • Product launch campaigns and social content

  • E-commerce and product detail pages

  • Retail and wholesale presentations

  • PR, editorial, and media outreach

  • Sustainability and impact reporting

  • Internal communications and stakeholder presentations

  • Behind-the-scenes storytelling that demonstrates how and where the products were made

Rather than simply stating that a product is upcycled, Temescal helps your brand show the transformation and substantiate the story behind it.

Bulk Production

Once the collection is approved, Temescal will oversee the transition from development into bulk production.

1. Material Allocation
The full volume of deadstock will be sorted, organized, and allocated by product according to the approved production plan.

2. T.O.P. Sampling
The factory will produce T.O.P. samples using the designated production materials. Temescal will review construction, material application, finishing, and overall quality against the approved specifications.

3. Final Approval
Any required corrections will be communicated directly to the factory and resolved before bulk production begins.

4. Bulk Production
Once T.O.P. samples are approved, the factory will begin production according to the confirmed quantities, specifications, and timeline.

5. Production Oversight
Throughout production, Temescal will remain the hands-on liaison with the factory, monitoring execution, resolving issues, and helping ensure the final collection remains consistent with the approved product.

Final Delivery to Distribution Centers & Stores

Temescal serves as the production-side liaison between the factory and your freight and logistics teams, managing the details required to prepare the collection for delivery.

We will:

  • Communicate your tagging, labeling, packaging, and carton requirements directly to the factory

  • Confirm packing instructions and shipment quantities

  • Coordinate final production and packing timelines with your logistics team

  • Verify that products are prepared according to your requirements before release

  • Provide your freight team with the factory information and shipment details needed to arrange pickup

  • Troubleshoot production or packing issues that could delay delivery

Your freight and logistics teams manage transportation and distribution. Temescal ensures the product is correctly prepared, documented, and ready for a seamless handoff.
